Wild Thing Boats
Students in Mrs. DeWeese’s Kindergarten class created boats after reading the book, Where the Wild Things Are. In the story, the main character sails in a boat. Mrs. DeWeese asked her students to pretend that Max’s boat floated away, and challenged them to create a new one. The students used various materials to create their boats, and then tried them out in water to see if they would float. Take a look at the pictures of the activity below:
