Hour of Code

Many of the classrooms at Oak Grove participated in Hour of Code last week during Computer Science week!

The Hour of Code is a global movement reaching tens of millions of students in 180+ countries.  Every student should have the opportunity to learn computer science. It helps nurture problem-solving skills, logic and creativity. By starting early, students will have a foundation for success in any 21st-century career path.   Our students used iPads, Spheros, and computers to participate.  You can check out all the activities on the Hour of Code site (which is available all year long).

Check out the pictures from the following classrooms: Mrs. Blankenship (Kindergarten),  Mrs. Wiggington (Second Grade), Mrs. Allen (Second Grade), Mrs. Moretz (Third Grade), and Mrs. Weikle (Third Grade).  The kids had a blast and learned a bunch too!
